CornBread

CornBread is an acoustic country blues band, composed of five of the most accomplished string musicians in the region. The band’s repertoire covers American roots classics by such artists as Jelly Roll Morton, Lightnin’ Hopkins, John Lee Hooker, the Reverend Gary Davis and Lonnie Johnson, and more recently, John Hammond, Jorma Kaukonen and Ian Buchanan.

Marty Brennan leads with vocals and various guitars- straight, National and Dobro, backed up by Frank Pergola on vocals, guitar and mandolin, Rich Patchkofsky with his award winning finger style guitar picking, Tim Quinn on harmonica and Louis Audette on standup bass.

5. Stealin' (3:01)-This old Memphis ]ug Band tune by Gus Cannon has Marty and Louis teaming up to create the jug blasts.

7. Education Blues (5:59)- Here's a Lightnin' Hopkins 12 bar riff in a slow tempo, played live at the Cafe Taste. It builds well and gives Tim a chance to shine.
